Dalglish: We need to be better than that

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was left wondering about the fitness levels of his players as Liverpool looked the stronger team in the first-half against Sunderland, but gradually tailed off as the game progressed and allowed Sunderland to get back into the game.

“It was only natural that it was the boys that were making their debuts felt the pinch in the second-half and certainly Luis [Suarez] was never going to finish the match so it’s not a surprise they tailed off a wee bit but we need to be better than that.”

Maxi scored another hat-trick as Liverpool cruised to an easy win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Can we prove Howard Webb is a Liverpool Fan so he never refs in our games again?

Is the above video of Howard Webb leading a chorus of You’ll Never Walk Alone enough evidence to get the FA stopping him officiating our games?

Fernando Torres vs Michael Owen – who do you want to win?

Now not many Liverpool fans will realise it but this weekend 2 strikers who left us under a cloud of disappointment and bad feelings will be sat on the benches of their respective clubs as they go head to head with the winner most likely to do what they left the club for and that is to pick up a trophy.

Michael Owen

Our very own Chester  born academy product who was part of the 1996 Youth Cup winning side, who scored on his debut and wrestled the FA cup from Arsenal in sensational fashion in 2001 when all looked lost.

Can Jamie Carragher make more appearances than Ian Callaghan?

Can Jamie beat Ian?

This weekend Jamie Carragher moved up to joint second in the clubs all time appearance charts level with Ray Clemence and Emlyn Hughes on 665 appearances.

Currently Ian Callaghan holds our club appearance record, putting on the shirt 857 times between 1960 and 1978, an absolutely phenomenal figure that will take an absolute Kop cult hero to beat.

Can Jamie do it?
