For the first time since 2004, Liverpool will be conducting a pre-season tour of the United States.
According to reports in the Boston Globe, Liverpool will play Roma at Boston’s Fenway Park. That match-up makes sense in that both teams are owned by Boston-based investors. Liverpool is owned by Red Sox owner John Henry and Roma is owned by a group of investors that included Red Sox investor Thomas DiBenedetto and Celtics owner James Pallotta.
Liverpool are also rumored to be playing Celtic in Chicago, with a third opponent to be announced.
