Reina Interested In Barcelona Return

Pepe Reina’s father has today commented that the goalkeeper would be ‘more than delighted to return to Barcelona’, should the opportunity arise.

Reina has been linked with a return to the Camp Nou in light of Victor Valdes’ confirmed desire not to renew his contract with Barca beyond June 2014.

According to the Liverpool goalkeeper’s father, the opportunity for him to return to the club that he developed at before leaving over a decade ago would not be passed up.

“He would be more than delighted to return to Barcelona,” reflected the Miguel Reina to laxarxa.com today.

“He did well from the moment he arrived there as a 12-year-old to when he left. I think Pepe has sufficiently demonstrated since then the quality of goalkeeper that he is.

“Nowadays, I think he would rise to the occasion. Moreover, he would be ideal as the Barcelona ‘keeper, certainly.”

I think he is still the best goalkeeper for LFC. WE CAN’T AFFORD TO LET HIM GO.
